In general, Gorgonian corals are not easy to keep in aquarium conditions. They are filter feeders in nature, mostly found where strong currents sweep through their fine branching and bringing tiny nutrients to the extended polyps in an endless supply. Both factors make it all-but impossible to emulate the required conditions in aquarium culture to ensure long-term success. Some of the more resilient species are offered occasionally, but they should only be purchased by the enthusiast who feels success is possible with applied techniques.
