Discus

The Discus – the present day plethora of domestically bred colour varieties has all-but superseded the original less colourful wild fish. Dedicated specialist breeders of Discus in various countries throughout the world, have worked at selective breeding to establish some truly spectacular forms of Discus. Bright colours, beautiful markings, and finnage developments have combined to present the superb specimens available to the hobby today. Discus have special requirements for success and are not intended for mixing with just any other companion fish. Water conditions are specific and need to be exactly right, and attention to required feeding detail must also be carefully followed.

The Red Spotted Discus (symphysodon aequifasciatus var.) is certainly one of the more spectacular colour forms we normally have in stock.
